HeyGen Translate

HeyGen Translate translates a clip and rebuilds the mouth around the new words: one pass, thirteen languages.

HeyGen Translate does the dubbing job in a single run. The speech is transcribed, translated, spoken back, and the speaker’s mouth is re-animated to match. The result reads as the same performance in a new language rather than as a track laid over the picture.

Thirteen languages are offered from a list, so a mistyped code cannot cost you a paid run. Captions in the target language can be burnt in on the way out.

Questions

Does the speaker keep their own voice with HeyGen Translate?
The delivery and timing follow the original take. Whether the voice itself is carried across or matched depends on the model, and the picker says which before you run.
Do I still need captions after HeyGen Translate?
Not necessarily, because it can burn them in. If you would rather style them yourself, run auto-captions on the dubbed clip instead and you get word-level timing.
Can HeyGen Translate change the voice without translating?
No. Use lip sync for that: hand it any audio track and the mouth is synced to whatever it says.
