Images are both an end product (title cards, backgrounds, thumbnails) and the seed for video. The generator and the editor are built for that round trip.
Generate from text Under Image, pick Generate, choose a model (FLUX, Nano Banana, Seedream, …), set aspect and resolution, and prompt. Up to 4 variants per run.
Edit with references Edit/Reference takes your image plus up to 14 references, so you can restyle a shot, combine subjects or continue a look. Address the references as @Image1, @Image2 in the prompt.
Remove a background The Remove BG action cuts a subject out onto transparency, which is what you want for overlays and thumbnails.
Send it to video Any image can seed the video generator (Animate), carry a Ken Burns move, or sit on the timeline as a styled still.
Tips
Editing a frame taken from your timeline keeps continuity. Capture it with the frame anchor in the generate form.
Portrait images stay portrait as overlays; the editor never stretches them.
Upscale 2×/4× before exporting if the image will fill a 4K frame.
